2021 Year In Review
I'm calling it a "Year in Review", but it's not really a year this time. I joined the club in September, and have been shooting at this point for 4 months.
Air Pistol
Back in September, I focused on the air pistol, shooting it both 1 handed and 2 handed. The correct manner of shooting the air pistol is 1 handed, but because my arm muscles were weak I shot around half 2 handed.
- My average score was 42.556
- My best score (left) was 63
For 1 hand:
- My average score was 61.625
- My best score (left) was 68
For 2 hand:
As we moved into October, and as I built up tolerance to holding the air pistol up, I switched to primarily shooting 1 handed.
- My average score was 61.2
- This is 18.6 better on average.
- My best score (right) was 72
For 1 hand:
- I shot only one card (right) with a score of 76
- This remains my best 2 hand AP card to date
For 2 hand:
In November I didn't plan to use the air pistol, but ended up doing so 1 handed over a month after my last time using it, because the club's air rifles were being used by other members.
- My overall average score was 61.4
- This is unchanged from October
- My best score (left) was 73
- This remains my best 1 hand AP card to date
For 1 hand:
In December I didn't use the air pistol.

All in all, I'm happy with my progress. I shall be focusing more heavily on unsupported air rifle in the coming months, because I enjoy it a lot.
The range is closed through January 2022, so we'll pick up in February 2022.
